The Team Leader for DMMI Maintenance - Condenser Maintenance, Dept. 247, will manage day-to-day activities, assist in controlling department budgets and G&O's, and implement necessary countermeasures. This role involves investigating and resolving problems related to equipment operating conditions, evaluating staff strengths and weaknesses, and ensuring appropriate training is planned to enhance skills. The Team Leader must understand IATF, TS16949 & ISO14001 requirements to ensure team compliance, provide support to the team, engineers, and support groups, and communicate all relevant information to the team, including daily reviews of basic safety rules. Responsibilities include following up on floor calls regarding safety, quality of repair, and spare part needs, setting up training (OJT/classes), and actively seeking improvements, Kaizen opportunities, and repairs. The Team Leader will monitor the area for unsafe conditions and proper tool usage, ensure 5-S principles are followed, and delegate, monitor, and follow up appropriately. They will review Nexus for work orders and PMs, confirm daily completion, and approve work orders for their responsible shift after checking for accuracy and detailed descriptions. Additional duties include ordering parts and materials, taking on contractor work if possible, managing crib stock items with consideration for frequency of use and lead times, and helping to orchestrate outside vendors. The role also involves addressing associate relations issues such as FMLA, attendance, and performance.
