About The Position

The Canon City Team Leader position is a full-time role accountable for achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) related to excellence, hard work, stewardship, difference, and community. The role involves ensuring 100% of vehicles are prepped and loaded safely and 100% of daily operational tasks are completed. Responsibilities include guest interaction, vehicle preparation, equipment operation and maintenance, safety procedures, and training new team members. The Team Leader must be knowledgeable about property safety, car wash equipment, and different wash packages, while also promoting memberships and managing membership accounts. This role requires adherence to all company policies, safety standards, and effective conflict resolution. The Team Leader will also be responsible for shift reporting, facility cleaning, and assisting with opening and closing procedures. The position requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, be on your feet for 100% of the day, and lift up to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Related management experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons.
  • Willing to work a 40 hours per week including weekends and holidays.
  • Be on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Physically able to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, step to perform job duties.
  • Ability to carry up to 40 pounds short distances.
  • Alert and able to maneuver around moving vehicles and equipment.
  • Knowledgeable on property safety and layouts.
  • Knowledgeable of what not to wash.
  • Knowledgeable of tunnel equipment.
  • Knowledgeable on E-Stop Locations.
  • Responsible for vacuum service process.
  • Knowledgeable on 3 Single Wash packages.
  • Knowledgeable on membership management.
  • Fluent in the LEAP Conflict Resolution process.
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions (cold, hot, wet, rain, snow).
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • On your feet 100% of the day and outside.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure 100% of vehicles are prepped and loaded safely.
  • Complete 100% of daily operational tasks.
  • Greet guests as they approach the car wash tunnel.
  • Safely guide and load each vehicle per size.
  • Use bug prep gun to properly prepare vehicles for wash process.
  • Remove mud in wheel wells when appropriate.
  • Perform safety inspection of vehicles before wash.
  • Make key adjustments to car wash equipment.
  • Handle tunnel incidents effectively and safely.
  • Responsible for vacuum service process.
  • Participate in the nightly close down checklist.
  • Engage with each guest using the 4 Steps of Service.
  • Inform all retail guests about Memberships.
  • Train new Team Members on approved training modules.
  • Aid in member visit success rate.
  • Communicate key vehicle information and equipment retracts to crew.
  • Observe vacuum area for guest satisfaction.
  • Complete daily shift report to document shift performance.
  • Learn how to safely open and close the car wash with leadership.
  • Safely use ladders and engage e-stop while cleaning.
  • Learn backroom safety and equipment knowledge.
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards and codes of conduct.
  • Follow Champion safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals.
  • Assist in cleaning the facility which includes the equipment, walls, trench, vacuums, trashcans, and lot.
  • Attend all mandatory training sessions.
  • Attend all mandatory team meetings and cleaning.
