The Team Leader, Living Room is a part of the management structure of the Crisis Response program, reporting to the Assistant Program Director and Program Director. This role is responsible for the direct supervision of the team to ensure quality service delivery to guests of the Living Room, functioning as the senior manager or “player coach” of the team. The Team Leader assumes a leadership role in monitoring the implementation of Living Room services, modeling an accepting and calming environment, and supervising the intake process to ensure guests are assessed in a warm, nurturing, and welcoming way. This includes assessing natural supports and guests’ personal goals for treatment recommendations. The role involves working with Intake Workers to ensure safety, collaborating with the Program Director to address risk and behavioral issues, and supervising linkage recommendations and case management processes. The Team Leader actively leads and oversees staff activities, monitors and coaches staff on providing support and teaching evidence-based crisis self-management skills, and conducts weekly team meetings to discuss adherence to goals, operations, staff development, and case consultation. They are responsible for reviewing and maintaining the quality, validity, confidentiality, and timely completion of all required logs and documentation, as well as supervising data collection regarding service requests and guest feedback. Additionally, the Team Leader conducts annual staff evaluations, develops professional development goals for staff, participates in the hiring process, and follows agency standards for supervision. They support staff learning about innovations in the field and assist the Program Director with staff development and coaching to ensure agency standards are met. Marginal duties include taking a lead role in marketing the Living Room Program, participating in emergency plan implementation, and working a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends as required, with potential on-call duties.
