Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with one to three months related experience and/or training.
  • Adhering to safety practices
  • Operating equipment used in warehouse operations
  • Operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications
  • Preparing and maintaining accurate records
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and MS Outlook.
  • Basic computer use
  • Basic vehicle maintenance
  • Safety practices and procedures
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Valid Driver’s License.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift operating license is preferred but on the job training is available.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure a safe, clean and productive work environment, providing leadership in quality delivery and customer service
  • Ensure team’s compliance with processes, procedures and policies, conducting performance management and evaluations
  • Responsible to maintain equipment and materials, using appropriate procedures and reporting, including enforcement of all safety measures and reporting of all incidents and damages to facilities and company property
  • Actively participate in CI initiatives, leveraging the knowledge and experience of TMs while managing process change in accordance with company guidelines and procedures
  • Lead and communicate effectively with team members, following guidelines for daily startup meetings and shift handover reporting, including daily metrics and KPI’s
  • Ensure the team members are appropriately trained and knowledgeable of their function, act as the SME for processes within the positions operational control.
  • Participate in Shop Floor Management practices, maintain records and report key figures and KPIs as directed
  • Maintain and send logbook after every shift
  • Ensure training records and versatility is up to date, use SWS audits to check operator on process is fully trained. Ensure operator rotation is controlled to plan. Maintain & Update Training Matrix
  • Record ideas for improvement. Present new issues and feedback to team on actions due for review
  • Perform Process, 5S, and Standard Work audits
  • Perform duties of Team Member, on the operations floor
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment
  • Manage and enforce time and attendance policy with accurate reporting into ADP for payroll processing, and make scheduling and staffing decisions to support daily customer requirements
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing team members’ performance with accountabilities to ensure operational excellence, which will enable team members in daily operations to meet and exceed customer and BLG expectations
