About The Position

This leadership role focuses on supporting young people aged 16-24 and their families, aiming to build their confidence, encourage safer choices, and create brighter futures. The position involves leading a multidisciplinary team within Nottinghamshire Integrated Service, fostering an environment where colleagues are empowered, partnerships thrive, and young people feel heard and supported. The role offers the opportunity to influence service evolution, strengthen safeguarding, champion new ideas, and build partnerships to improve outcomes for young people affected by substance use. The day-to-day work involves coaching practitioners, collaborating with various agencies (schools, social care, health, community organizations), and making a lasting difference in the lives of young people.

Requirements

  • Experienced leader within children, young people's, substance misuse, health, social care, or related services.
  • Belief that leadership is about creating opportunities for others.
  • Experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong safeguarding knowledge.
  • Operational leadership experience.
  • Confidence developing partnerships across education, health, social care, and community organizations.
  • Experience improving quality, performance, and service delivery.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and inspire people.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A genuine passion for improving the lives of children, young people, and families.
  • Must already have the right to work in the UK.
  • Subject to an Enhanced DBS check for Children and Adults.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a skilled multidisciplinary team, creating a culture of learning, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Support colleagues through reflective supervision.
  • Strengthen safeguarding practice.
  • Oversee quality and performance.
  • Develop local partnerships.
  • Ensure every young person receives compassionate, person-centred support.
  • Work closely with the Service Manager to shape the future of the service, ensuring young people remain central to all decisions.
