As part of the Crosby team, you will be supporting channel partners and end users around the world using Crosby products in mission critical applications ranging from development of renewable power, space exploration, national defense, manufacturing, and infrastructure development.

Requirements

  • 5 years in manufacturing experience.
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Directs, supervises, and coordinates machining, painting and/or assembly operations.
  • Supervises a crew of 20 to 30+ team members involved in the production/finishing/ assembly of the Company’s products.
  • Responsible for safety, quality, quantity, manufacturing costs, meeting production schedules and on-time shipment of our product lines.
  • Ensures crew is performing their jobs in a safe manner and using the appropriate PPE.
  • Conducts monthly inspections of work centers under his/her supervision.
  • Participates in monthly safety meetings.
  • Supervises a crew or crew of team members involved in the machining, welding, finishing and/or assembly of the Company’s products.
  • Responsible for quality, quantity, economical manufacturing costs, meeting production schedules, proper use of material and efficient workflow consistent with manufacturing objectives and profit goals.
  • Organizes and assigns work to crewmembers to utilize available skills, knowledge, experience, man-hours, machines and tooling in a manner that optimizes production costs and quality workmanship.
  • Analyzes and diagnoses machining and tooling problems, machine malfunctions, etc. to expedite and coordinate corrective procedures and prevent excessive downtime and interrupted schedules.
  • Coordinates maintenance activities with the Maintenance department.
  • Provides instructions and guidance to team members, and maintains close watch over setup procedures, machining operations, finishing work and/or assembly procedures.
  • Coordinates inspection and quality control activities with the QA department to ensure finished goods meet Company and customer standards.
  • Completes corrective action request forms if there is a problem to be corrected.
  • Provides information and coordinates with engineering, productions, scheduling, purchasing, etc. to assist with and/or to implement new programs related to work simplification, cost reduction, new tooling and methods, man-hour planning, scheduling, machine repair and maintenance.
  • Expedites hot orders.
  • Redirects resources and personnel in order to meet shipment dates.
  • Coordinates with Inventory Manager and Production Manager on workflow and order sequence.
  • Coordinates with Purchasing on the requisition of tools and supplies.
