About The Position

The Team Leader Production assists the supervisor in managing the daily activities of 10 to 15 production associates, ensuring the safe and efficient production of good quality parts. This role involves training production associates, maintaining training records, and assisting with various production management tasks such as pullboard updates, paperwork, TS audits, and operator instructions. The Team Leader also performs process and quality checks to ensure adherence to specifications and assists the quality department with corrective actions.

Requirements

• Trained and qualified on production jobs in assigned area
• Working knowledge of and full qualification on all production processes in assigned area(s)
• Thorough understanding of Sanoh’s safety and quality policies and procedures
• Working knowledge of Sanoh’s on-the-job system, including document control
• Working knowledge of product function for all parts in assigned area(s)
• Working knowledge of Sanoh’s production paperwork (reports, traceability, check sheets, etc.) for assigned area(s)
• Basic understanding of lean manufacturing principles
• Basic understanding of problem-solving tools and methods
• Working knowledge of all customer specifications and expectations for all parts in assigned area(s)
• Ability to effectively train others
• Good organizational skills
• Good interpersonal & communication skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills; able to learn basic functions of windows-based software
• Excellent attendance, quality and safety records

Responsibilities

• Assists supervisor in managing daily activities of 10 to 15 production associates assuring good quality parts are produced safely and efficiently.
• Effectively train production associates and assure proper completion of training records.
• Assists the supervisor in managing production activities for employees such as pullboard up-dates, paperwork, TS audits, cost savings, and operator instructions.
• Performs process audits on assigned employees to ensure all processes, procedures, and work instructions are followed.
• Performs quality checks on production operations to ensure they meet quality specifications such as gauging and SOP checks to ensure production parts meet all quality requirements. Notifies supervisor of any issues.
• Assists quality in completing corrective action reports for external and internal quality concerns.
