About The Position

Nucor Tubular - Louisville is seeking a Team Leader Operations to monitor the department and team to maintain continuous operation. This role involves completing shift reports, performing hourly inspections of tubing, and providing direction and leadership to ensure operational accuracy. The Team Leader will oversee equipment set-up, adjustments, and changeovers, and perform preventative maintenance as needed. They will also assist with changeovers and operate a crane or forklift. Safety is paramount, and candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards.

Requirements

• Supervisor and Manager Recommendation
• 2-3 years of experience in a production environment
• 1-2 year of leading a team in a Manufacturing/Industrial environment
• Must know basic English reading, writing and math skills

Nice To Haves

• High school Diploma or GED
• Significant work experience in a high volume manufacturing environment
• Significant work and understanding of Manufacturing process related to electrical steel conduit
• Ability to work in a team environment with strong, positive communication skills

Responsibilities

• Monitor process of the department and team to maintain continuous operation
• Complete all shift reports for the day
• Performs hourly inspections of the tubing
• Provide direction and leadership to ensure accuracy of operation
• Oversees the set-up, adjustments and change overs for all equipment of the machines for the department
• Performs preventative maintenance on the machine when necessary
• Assist with changeover and operate crane or forklift as needed
