Team Leader, Operations
About The Position
As a Team Leader, Production for the John Deere Construction & Forestry Fabrication division located in Davenport, IA, you will lead a production team to execute safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency goals through Continuous Improvement (CI) plans and activities. You will communicate job expectations, facilitate training and certification requirements, and coach and set high standards on performance. Additionally, you will elevate our safety culture through effective communications, leading by example, driving engagement in proactive risk identification and a focus on implementing thorough safety corrective actions.
Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational abilities
- Demonstrated ability to make timely decisions
- Troubleshoot and diagnose highly complex equipment and systems
- Ability to work variable shifts including off-shifts, weekends, and OT as business needs
- Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
Nice To Haves
- Working knowledge of Continuous Improvement (CI) processes, lean manufacturing, and 5S.
- Experience with wage/union employee policies, practices, procedures, Continuous Improvement Pay Plan (CIPP) administration, and work rule
