Requirements

  • High school graduate; or GED; or BOCES Machine Shop classes; or Skilled trade school graduate
  • 5 years of manufacturing equipment repair experience
  • CNC Machine and automation repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret manuals and schematics
  • Microsoft Office experience to include Word and Excel
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills

Nice To Haves

  • 8 years of manufacturing equipment repair experience
  • Knowledge and demonstrated experience of CNC/Manual machining

Responsibilities

  • Utilizing Express Maintenance to prioritize and provide assignments and tasks to personnel with direction from Supervisor and/or Manager.
  • Working from schematics and manuals to troubleshoot and repair facility infrastructure function.
  • Creating purchase requisitions for replacement parts and tools as needed.
  • Evaluating repair requests to determine course of action and or parts required.
  • Coordinating repair schedule with supervisors to minimize equipment down time.
  • Attending and conducting meetings and relaying pertinent information back to team members.
  • Performing direct hands on work as needed.
  • Working closely with vendors to develop and maintain relationships to coordinate on-site repair consultation.
  • Maintaining an effective communication system with staff.
  • Conferring with machine manufacturer for troubleshooting.
  • Completing all required paperwork and updating service records as needed.
  • Setting example of a team member for less experienced employees by cooperating and showing commitment to customer service.
  • Performing machine repair advanced troubleshooting.
  • Making recommendations for procedural/ machine improvements.
  • Developing safety recommendations and procedures for machine repair and maintaining infrastructure needs.
  • Hiring, scheduling, instructing, and developing personnel.
  • Ensuring personnel follow policies and procedures, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Completing preventative maintenance and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Performing other related duties as directed.
