About The Position

We are seeking a proactive Team Leader I to guide day‑to-day machine shop operations with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity. In this hands‑on leadership role, you will drive schedule execution by coordinating workflow, partnering with key stakeholders, and fostering a collaborative, continuous‑improvement mindset. You will supervise associates engaged in machining experimental and production ball mold cavities, as well as supporting fabrication and capital projects across the facility. This role leads training, coaching, and development efforts to ensure alignment with departmental and company initiatives while overseeing all safety programs, compliance requirements, and EHS auditing. Additional responsibilities include managing facility startup, ensuring equipment readiness, maintaining operational documentation, and supervising preventive maintenance to reduce downtime. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience required or associate degree and minimum 2 years of manufacturing maintenance/machine shop experience required; 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred or High school diploma and minimum 5 years of manufacturing maintenance/machine shop experience required; 2 years of supervisory/leadership experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment
  • Background in managing technical projects, including electromechanical assemblies
  • Demonstrated leadership experience supporting manufacturing and/or skilled trades
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings for mechanical parts and assemblies
  • Ability to work regularly and for extended periods in a manufacturing/machine shop environment
  • Exposure to dust, heat, chemicals, and noise typical of production settings
  • Knowledge of CNC and hydraulic machines (lathes, mills, EDM, saws, presses)
  • Knowledge of inspection tools (calipers, pin gages, indicators, CMM)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience with SolidWorks, MainSaver, and IBM Notes
