The Primary Purpose of this role is to supervise, train, mentor, and participate in the evaluation of ECI employees while upholding ECI mission, values and goals. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in human development and family studies, psychology, social work, sociology, or elementary education, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech communication disorders. Prior work experience in Early Childhood Intervention is required, along with certification as an Early Intervention Specialist, Licensed Occupational Therapist, Licensed Physical Therapist, or Licensed Speech Language Pathologist. The role also necessitates additional highly skilled and advanced training in the Competency Demonstration System. Experience in working with young or severely/profoundly delayed children, knowledge of child development and infant assessment, and familiarity with record keeping, service coordination, and parent training are essential. The Team Leader must demonstrate the ability to work cooperatively with the ECI team, families, community agencies, medical personnel, and local education agencies, while maintaining focus on goals and an individualized perception toward families and staff.
