About The Position

Wieland is hiring a Team Leader - Assembly to lead and coordinate production associates fabricating and/or assembling HVAC equipment. The role monitors and communicates unit status with the Value Stream team to help ensure customer commitments and timelines are met. It is located in Delaware, Ohio, and is fully on-site. The weekend schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with training on first shift for 2–4 weeks, Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Starting pay is $31.00 per hour, plus a $1.50-per-hour shift differential. Pay is biweekly.

Requirements

• Previous experience managing or leading a group of production associates is preferred.
• Two to five years of industrial manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with personnel and departments at all levels.
• Ability to interpret, comprehend, and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude; a mechanical aptitude exam may be used to assess it.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience managing or leading a group of production associates.

• Familiarity with the various departments and equipment within the scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Ensure team members follow safety and quality standards, operating procedures, and company policies.
• Conduct daily Tier 1 meetings at the start of the shift to review safety information and production objectives.
• Provide documented handover information to appropriate personnel about unit status, location, and stage in the process.
• Maintain time and performance records for each team member.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
