The Team Lead is responsible for creating daily plans and assignments for their team within a Distribution Center (DC) work area, motivating associates, reporting issues to supervisors, collaborating with other departments, training staff, and ensuring adherence to safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

  • Employed for at least one (1) year in current role.
  • High school diploma or a GED equivalent from a certified college.
  • At least one (1) year of experience performing functions in WMS.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of 2 Years of team leadership experience in manufacturing or distribution center environment.
  • Experience using MS Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Develop daily plans and assignments for the team.
  • Motivate associates within an assigned DC work area.
  • Report and escalate issues to area supervisors.
  • Collaborate interdepartmentally to enhance productivity.
  • Train associates.
  • Ensure adherence to Safety guidelines, SOPs, policies, and work standards.
  • Adhere to all Safety, Quality, and Operational goals, policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Report and escalate unsafe conditions, near misses, and injuries immediately.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
  • Prioritize work as assigned and manage the flow of day-to-day operations.
  • Develop timelines and strategies for the team to achieve targeted business results.
  • Provide clear and effective communication to the team regarding task assignments.
  • Deliver training to DC personnel.
  • Leverage appropriate resources to keep projects on track and ensure DC success.
  • Participate in the creation and distribution of documentation.
  • Generate reports and information to keep team(s) up to date.
  • Monitor and review productivity metrics for individuals and teams.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support business operations.
