Requirements

  • Requires High School diploma or GED
  • Intermediate Computer Knowledge
  • Organizational and Problem Solving Skills
  • Time Management and Timely Decision Making
  • Ability to motivate and engage people
  • Good spoken and written communication skills
  • Good 'people skills' for building relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs on a regular basis and work under high and low temperatures
  • Adhere to all safety requirements

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 3 years of previous automotive manufacturing experience preferred
  • Previous experience with lean manufacturing preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist Shift Manager to ensure production goals are achieved to meet delivery windows
  • Collect and enter site manufacturing data into various data collection methods
  • Assist with and lead plant floor scrap and downtime escalations
  • Maintain documentation to meet internal and external audit requirements
  • Assist in management of cell team boards and policy related questions
  • Assist in enforcement of company policies with the guidance of Production Supervisors
  • Rotate through all the tasks required in process
  • Leadership by example daily
  • Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, email, or in person
  • Near Miss Reporting and corrective action follow through as required
  • Daily LPA Audit Completion and follow up tasks as required
  • Pre-Shift Walk Through with Shift Managers and provide administrative assistance
  • Leadership of daily 5 Minute Meetings for start of shift hand off
  • Assist in the development of POMS tools in the plant and implementation, training, auditing, and enforcement of using company tools and visual indicators
  • Authority and responsibility to stop production and shipments for quality or safety issues
  • Supply production lines with components and maintains containers in a timely manner
  • Monitor change overs and coordinate the change over with forklift drivers /production operators
  • Complete required documents (shift logs, traceability etc.)
  • Maintain production lines and material area clean, free of boxes, and trash.
