About The Position

Quanex is looking for a Team Lead to join our team located in Chehalis, WA. The hours for this position are Monday-Friday 2:30pm-11pm. The Team Lead must project a positive attitude, be open and willing to help others when needed and have excellent attendance. This role involves conducting daily safety audits, ensuring employees wear appropriate PPE and operate safely, exhibiting strong leadership and communication skills to foster a cohesive team environment, collaborating across departments to resolve conflicts and facilitate smooth operations, understanding quality expectations and ensuring quality procedures are followed, performing set-up and troubleshooting of equipment and products, and assisting the supervisor with daily planning and scheduling activities. The role also includes conducting regular 5S audits to ensure the department is organized and tools are readily available.

Requirements

Mechanical skills
Attention to detail
Experience operating manufacturing machinery
Experience with lock out/tag out (LOTO)
Understanding of how to use machine guarding

Team lead experience is preferred
