About The Position

The Team Lead (Production) is responsible for demonstrating SoundOff Signal’s Core Values and fostering a positive team environment. This role involves significant team building, including active listening, effective speaking, mentoring, and motivating team members, while recognizing their contributions. The Team Lead will manage personnel resources, develop team members, and align talents to ensure success. Key responsibilities include daily planning by assessing department requirements, capacity, and capability, and scheduling work assignments. The position also requires organizing and coordinating customer requirements with excellence, managing order changes, and multitasking effectively. Communication is crucial, involving strategic delegation, training team members on Work Instructions, and acting as a liaison between production and management. As a leader, the Team Lead coaches employees, handles urgent situations calmly, troubleshoots equipment, balances hands-on involvement with support functions, and conducts disciplinary activities when necessary. The role also involves measuring performance, identifying problems, and implementing solutions. Quality assurance is paramount, ensuring products meet SoundOff Signal standards, performing checks, and adhering to ISO and ESD procedures. Safety is a top priority, requiring education on safety procedures, ensuring PPE compliance, and evaluating equipment safety. The Team Lead must be able to work minimum 10-hour shifts, flex hours, maintain 5S standards, and perform duties consistently.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Competent in all processes within the department.
  • Willing and able to train others in all department processes
  • Two (2) to four (4) years electronics experience.
  • One (1) year supervisory experience.

  • Mechanical aptitude including troubleshooting ability with department equipment.
  • Balancing hands on involvement with background support functions to maximize department throughput capacity.
  • Disciplinary activities within department when required.
  • Able to keep the team focused and motivate the team towards its goal.
  • Problem Sensitivity and Solving. Being able to tell when something is wrong, or about to go wrong, then use critical thinking and deductive reasoning to identify problems, gather and analyze data, construct, evaluate, and implement solutions.
  • Able to report department progress, completion, non-completion of work and the reasons for each.
  • Able to measure the performance of employees to understand where their need is to grow, learn and comply with SoundOff Signal Standards.
  • Ensures the products manufactured meet our SoundOff Signal quality standards.
  • Able to check finished product as needed to ensure quality standards are being met and keep records of equipment, deliveries and worker performance.
  • Assuring quality control procedures (ISO, ESD) are being followed.
  • Place the safety of team members in high esteem, educate them in SoundOff Signal safety procedures and ensure procedures are adhered to.
  • Assuring team members are aware of all needed PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and are following all PPE requirements.
  • Able to evaluate manufacturing equipment for safety and functionality.
  • Ability to work minimum 10-hour shifts, and flex hours early or late with little or no notice.
  • Ability to hold the department and team members to our SoundOff Signal 5S standards.
  • Able to perform job consistently and without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.
  • Other duties as assigned.
