Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain and maintain a forklift license, including required certification and recertification training.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and team leadership skills.
  • Proficient mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in various plant environments, both indoors and outdoors, and adapt to changing operational needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP or similar manufacturing/ERP systems preferred.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily safety, quality, and production activities, including pre-shift meetings, inspections, safety talks, and communication of production targets.
  • Ensure compliance with Magna, OSHA, and plant safety standards, including audits, emergency response readiness, accident investigations, and safe work practices.
  • Coordinate staffing, job assignments, break relief, manpower planning, and production line coverage to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Monitor production performance through data collection, downtime tracking, reporting, shift pass-downs, and accurate documentation.
  • Drive quality and continuous improvement initiatives by supporting corrective actions, lean manufacturing, engineering changes, calibration requirements, and first-time quality goals.
  • Develop and coach team members through training, performance feedback, leadership support, and ongoing skill development.
  • Maintain effective cross-functional communication, inventory and housekeeping standards (5S), and support overall safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives.
