About The Position

Eaton is looking for a Team Lead to support the 1st shift Production Team within its manufacturing facility. As a Team Lead on our 1st Shift Production Team, you'll play a key role in driving safety, quality, and operational excellence while leading by example on the manufacturing floor. This hands-on leadership position offers the opportunity to develop people, solve problems, and make a direct impact on production success every day.

Requirements

  • Must have a high school diploma, GED, or technical equivalent from an accredited institution required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of previous lead production experience in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
  • Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience, including 3+ years operating mechanical power presses.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to build positive team relationships; bilingual Spanish is a plus.
  • Proven ability to organize work, prioritize tasks, and coordinate resources in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, safety requirements, and production documentation, including work orders and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Strong commitment to quality, safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, as needed to support business demands.
  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of production operators while promoting a culture of safety, quality, and teamwork.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Inventory (SQDCI) performance.
  • Coordinate staffing, materials, and workflow to ensure production goals are achieved efficiently.
  • Train team members and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Conduct quality inspections, identify issues, and partner with operations and quality teams to implement solutions.
  • Utilize SAP and other production systems to support inventory accuracy and operational performance.
  • Lead shift communications and ensure smooth transitions between production teams.
  • Support 5S initiatives and maintain an organized, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Troubleshoot production challenges and help implement corrective actions to minimize downtime.
  • Work closely with supervisors and cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations and business objectives.
