About The Position

Kraft Heinz Kendallville is seeking a Production Team Lead for their 1st shift. This role is responsible for clean inspect and lube, centerline management system, 5S system, integrity of process data, and the Oscar scrap elimination system. The Team Lead will actively participate in annual planning, weekly reviews/PDCA meetings, and Daily Level 1 and Level 2 meetings. They will also assist in the development of centerline definitions and associated standards, develop control strategies for operators to respond to out-of-control situations, lead root cause problem-solving efforts, and coach teams on various systems and critical thinking skills.

Requirements

Initiative-taking and strong drive for results.
Lift 50 pounds.
Able to work in hot/humid conditions as well as areas that may contain starch/dust particles and egg.
Prolonged periods working on feet and performing repetitive actions that entail frequent bending and stooping.
Strong planning/organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment with people of varying skills and backgrounds.

Nice To Haves

Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing, quality standards, hygiene, work safety, etc. preferred.

Responsibilities

Own results for clean inspect and lube, centerline management system, 5S system, integrity of process data and the Oscar scrap elimination system.
Actively participate in annual planning, weekly reviews/PDCA meetings, Daily Level 1 and Level 2 meetings.
Assist in development of center line definition and associated standard development.
Develop control strategies to enable operators to respond to out-of-control situations.
Lead root cause problem solving efforts on key losses in the process.
Coach teams on CIL, CLM, 5S, and Oscar systems execution.
Coach and develop teams by building critical thinking skills within the process.
