About The Position

A Team Lead at a child care center promotes children’s social, physical, and intellectual growth while leading classroom management and curriculum implementation. Classroom instruction makes up at least 50% of the weekly schedule. The Team Lead communicates with families, supports children’s achievement and the center’s success, and may manage, train, and mentor new hires and fellow Teachers. The role also covers Director or Assistant Director duties in their absence, including opening and closing the school. The Team Lead ensures children receive daily care in accordance with licensing guidelines and company standards. The position requires working indoors or outdoors and engaging in physical activity with children.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Experience leading a classroom and implementing lesson plans.
• Ability to meet state and/or accreditation requirements for education and experience.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors and engage in physical activity with children.

Nice To Haves

• College credits toward an Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, or a CDA.
