About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Restaurant Team Lead to join our Sonny's BBQ team at one of our awesome stores in the Ocala area! The Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing daily operations during their shift, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting staff to maintain a positive and efficient work environment. Jacksonville Market Stores: Lane Ave, Atlantic Blvd, San Jose Blvd, Orange Park

Requirements

  • 1 year of restaurant experience.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to complete a successful driver insurability check, background check, and drug screen.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Ability to successfully enroll and complete required training or certifications within a reasonable amount of time
  • Strong operational and training skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lead and direct while cultivating a healthy and collaborative team environment.
  • Advanced degree in hospitality or a related field.
  • Trained and proficient in all areas of the front-of-the-house & back-of-the-house functions.
  • Held positions of leadership previously

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all iServ/Sonny’s BBQ mission, values, and objectives are communicated, understood, and practiced with all Team Members.
  • Ensure that our restaurants have a fun, playful, and engaging atmosphere by going above and beyond to meet the individual needs and concerns of our staff and guests daily.
  • Promotes a culture that inspires improvement; continually develops and mentors team members under his/her direction and is directly responsible for their success.
  • Adheres to all food handling and safety regulations throughout the kitchen and restaurant.
  • Ability to lead front and back-of-the-house staff through shifts to ensure a great experience for all guests.
  • Overseeing the learning and development of new Team Members.
  • Communicate with the Management Team on the performance of Team Members.
  • Performing other duties as necessary including point-of-sale (POS) functions, handling guest concerns, receiving Team Member checkouts, etc.
