About The Position

As a Warehouse Team Lead you will be responsible for providing directions to assigned material handlers at the Procedural GI Manufacturing facility. These handlers will be responsible for warehouse replenishments, pulling production raw materials, and prepping STERIS finished goods for outbound shipments. This role works on the warehouse floor daily for each shift, engaging with the receiving, production leaders, quality control, engineering, and supply chain members.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) to seven (7) years of shipping and receiving or warehousing operations experience.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of supervisory experience is strongly preferred.
  • RF Handheld and WMS (warehouse management system) experience is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including taking the initiative, initiating change, promoting teamwork, championing ideas, taking appropriate risks, translating ideas into specific tasks, and gaining the confidence and trust of others.
  • Must work effectively against deadlines and handle several tasks/projects simultaneously while meeting or exceeding performance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Warehouse Supervisor in providing directions to Material Handlers
  • Provide all necessary training to Material Handlers to ensure adherence to Company, department, and government policies and procedures.
  • Utilize internal warehouse management system (WMS) to ensure material flow by reviewing unallocated move orders and driving/implementing enhancements.
  • Facilitate problem solving huddles to eliminate barriers for material handlers by driving counter or preventative actions to completion.
  • Support a safe warehouse environment by completing T-Card audits, Gemba walks, and implementing continuous improvement ideas.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy by directing material handlers in conducting cycle counts and assisting in organizing and conducting physical inventories.
  • Championing our Sterile Load build process ensuring STERIS Finished Goods are prepped, assigned, and staged for our weekly pick-ups.
  • Always ensure employee safety and compliance with safety policies.
  • Ensure all material handling equipment is operating correctly throughout the workday.
  • When not directing material handlers, perform the duties of Material Handler, including the following: Min/Max replenishments, pulling materials, prepping outbound shipments, put away, dock-coverage, and recording transactions according to Company procedures.
  • Work professionally and effectively with other leads, supervisors, and employees regarding workflow, work schedules, communications, and production to maintain a professional work environment and efficient operations.

  • This position is eligible for bonus participation.
