About The Position

Spatial Front, Inc. (SFI) , a two-time USA Today Top Workplaces awardee and Washington Top Workplaces honoree, is seeking a Team Lead/Technical Project Manager to support our growing team. The ideal candidate will be a Team Lead to manage and guide an IT operations or technical team supporting Federal Government programs. A strong candidate will have strong leadership skills and extensive experience in IT operations, system reliability, and team management. As a valued member of the SFI team, you will play a critical role in delivering mission-critical capabilities to our Federal Government customers .

Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 8 years of system IT ops or similar experience, 3 years team leadership.
  • Demonstrated expertise in: IT support operations, modernization, ensuring system reliability, security, and efficient service delivery while leading and guiding the IT team.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile (preferred Scaled Agile)
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into tangible technical plans, roadmaps and actions in order to orchestrate the delivery across large projects
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance or be able to obtain one.

Nice To Haves

  • ITIL Foundation, PMP, or equivalent leadership/operations certification.
  • Experience with Oracle tech stack and Peoplesoft HCM is a plus
  • Experience leading IT operations teams within DoD or federal agency programs.
  • Experience with agile team management and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage an IT operations or technical team, providing direction, mentorship, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure team delivery of high-quality IT services aligned with program SLAs and government requirements.
  • Provide highly technical guidance to our delivery team in execution of large-scale enterprise projects.
  • Coordinate team activities including task assignment, workload management, and schedule adherence.
  • Identify and resolve operational issues and escalate complex problems as appropriate.
  • Develop and maintain team documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and operational guides.
  • Conduct team meetings, performance reviews, and professional development activities.
  • Provide hands-on guidance and “roll-up the sleeves” approach when needed.
  • Report on team performance metrics and operational status to program leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned.
