About The Position

Hard Rock Digital is seeking an organized and driven Team Lead to join their Sportsbook Planning team. This role reports directly to the Manager, Sportsbook Content Optimization. The Team Lead will be responsible for leading, mentoring, and developing a team of Planning Associates, while also managing the day-to-day processes for content planning to ensure it stays on schedule. The Planning team's core function is to ensure accurate content display across retail and digital platforms, meticulously planning and documenting offerings for major sports leagues and events to improve customer experience and drive revenue. This team collaborates closely with Trading, Product Operations, Sportsbook QA, and Sportsbook RTE, as well as other internal stakeholders, to ensure the delivery of appropriate content at the opportune time. The Team Lead will serve as the primary point of contact for associates during their shifts, manage the team's schedule and reporting, and assist the Manager in executing the broader planning strategy. This position requires a balance between hands-on planning tasks and the development of team members, with a focus on elevating the quality of the team's output.

Requirements

• Experience in sportsbook operations, content/display planning, or a related field, with a strong understanding of the global sporting calendar and the leagues and events that drive engagement.
• Previous supervisory, coaching, or mentoring experience, or a clear readiness to step into a people-leadership role.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously and keep a team on track.
• Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to make confident, data-driven decisions.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel; exposure to analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau or Amplitude is advantageous.
• Adaptability and a proactive approach to real-time changes across sporting events.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage senior managers when required.
• A results-driven professional with a passion for sports and a focus on the customer experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends and outside standard hours in line with the sporting calendar.

Responsibilities

• Own and quality-check the team's hourly plans for digital and retail displays, ensuring content aligns with business objectives and customer preferences.
• Maintain, distribute, and coordinate planning documents across the business, keeping a single source of truth for what is planned and live.
• Monitor sporting events and changes in real time, adjusting display plans and reprioritizing the team's work to keep content relevant and engaging.
• Drive localization of content plans by state, tailoring display offerings to jurisdiction-specific preferences, regulations, and market maturity.
• Plan, run, and evaluate A/B tests to measure the impact of display strategies, using results to refine the team's approach and inform future planning.
• Use data to support planning decisions and help assess the effectiveness of display plans through reporting and post-event analysis.
• Ensure all display content complies with regulatory requirements and company standards, maintaining a high level of quality and consistency across platforms.
• Surface opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies in display planning to the Manager.
• Lead, coach, and supervise a team of Planning Associates, fostering high performance and a culture of continuous improvement.
• Conduct regular 1-2-1s with direct reports, ensuring individual KPIs and team objectives are being met.
• Own the team's shift schedule, ensuring appropriate coverage across the planning window and around key sporting events.
• Support the onboarding of new associates and help deliver ongoing training and upskilling across the team.
• Maintain and circulate team reporting and KPIs, giving the Manager and wider business clear visibility of workload, output, and performance, and surfacing trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Lead by example, presenting new ideas while maintaining the highest standards across current processes and daily performance.
• Work closely with Trading, Product Operations, Sportsbook QA, and Sportsbook RTE, along with internal stakeholders, to align content plans with wider business strategy.
• Act as a key point of contact on shift, handling queries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
