About The Position

The Team Lead - Software Engineering role is responsible for crafting and owning valuable solutions to business problems. This role will create innovative software, adhere to best practices, and ensure the sustainability of enterprise-level applications. Our approach to servicing our employees is grounded in our values. To deliver excellence for our Harvest Group employees, we do require that this role is based in Rogers (AR) or Cincinnati (OH). Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience in software development, with a strong track record of solving complex business problems.
  • 2+ years of experience managing or leading software developers, including performance management and mentoring.
  • Senior-level proficiency in C#, .NET, or related technologies, with the ability to design and implement production-ready solutions.
  • Strong front-end development experience using JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS, or similar modern web technologies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of software design principles, data structures, and common architectural and design patterns.
  • Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments, including collaboration with product and business partners.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including source control, branching strategies, deployment approaches, and automated testing.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to balance hands-on development responsibilities with leadership and people management duties.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing or working within cloud-based architectures, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
  • Experience participating in or supporting CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and release automation.
  • Previous experience acting as a technical lead or architect on medium to large-scale projects.
  • Exposure to performance tuning, application monitoring, or production support in a live environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional software development team, overseeing project delivery, technical execution, and professional development of team members.
  • Serve as technical lead on assigned projects, providing hands-on development support and architectural guidance alongside the team.
  • Contribute directly to the design, development, and enhancement of new and existing software applications, ensuring solutions are aligned with business goals and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, and other technology leaders to translate business needs into technical solutions and drive initiatives forward.
  • Uphold and evolve Harvest’s architectural standards, participating in system design discussions and ensuring adherence to best practices around scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, ensuring predictable delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Manage team performance through goal setting, regular feedback, coaching, and career development planning.
  • Mentor developers by providing guidance on technical challenges, code quality, and best practices, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Participate in and facilitate code reviews, promoting high engineering standards, knowledge sharing, and constructive feedback.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues, balancing short-term fixes with long-term maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and infrastructure teams to support deployment, monitoring, and operational stability of applications.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities related to delivery, process, or technology.
