About The Position

Team Lead, Software Engineering. Attekus builds the software that powers local government, government, and education across Australia and New Zealand – the systems councils, agencies, and schools rely on every day. It’s meaningful work with a clear line from your keyboard to your community. We’re looking for a Team Lead to run one of our engineering squads. This is a hands-on leadership role built for a senior engineer ready to take the step into leading people, while still doing the work you love, in C# and TypeScript. If you want the influence of a small company where your decisions actually shape the product, this is it.

Requirements

Genuinely senior engineer.
Teammates already turn to, with real impact on complex, enterprise-grade products.
Strong and hands-on across full-stack delivery, ideally in C# and TypeScript.
Mentored engineers before, formally or not, and you get a kick out of watching people level up.
Comfortable in a fast agile environment, working closely with Product, Design, and QA.
May not have managed people formally yet, that’s fine. This role is deliberately designed as a strong first step into leadership, with strong support around you.

Responsibilities

Set the technical bar for your squad, through your own code, your reviews, and the standard you hold.
Own the day-to-day: capacity, delivery, and the growth of every engineer around you, running 1:1s that people look forward to rather than dread.
Work shoulder-to-shoulder with Product, Design, QA and customer success teams to turn ambiguous problems into software our customer’s trust.
Shape how the work gets done.
Bring people along with you.
