Team Lead - Shipping
About The Position
The Shipping Team Lead will coordinate with the Shipping Supervisor and other Leads to meet daily shipping goals. This role involves communicating priorities and updates across departments, generating and processing shipping paperwork, and updating SOPs. The Team Lead will utilize ERP/MRP systems (such as Fourth Shift) to order hardware and process shipments, identify and communicate order changes to the shipping team, and ensure proper staging and inspection of metals for shipment. Additionally, they will perform quality checks on in-process and completed shipments, track tooling, report replacement needs, direct team members to work centers, and assist with scheduling, planning, and training. This role also supports continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and cost control.
Requirements
- Shipping or logistics experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong computer skills, especially Microsoft Office (ERP experience preferred)
- Forklift experience required
- Ability to lead and coordinate team members effectively
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
