The role also involves reading check sheets and prints, understanding various assembly techniques (weld, torch, plasma), and applying knowledge of welding and cutting processes. A key aspect is the understanding and application of robotic welding, including basic programming, fault troubleshooting, and training new employees. Proficiency in welding gases, electrodes, product changeovers, first article inspections, and performing maintenance/housekeeping are also essential. The use of hand tools like calipers and height gauges is required, along with effective teamwork and communication. All tasks must be performed safely, efficiently, and accurately, contributing to a quality product and maintaining good attendance and compliance with company policies.
