About The Position

The Weld Team Lead leads designated team(s) responsible for the overall production of steel trailers within their designated area(s). This role involves planning work priorities, assessing production needs, collaborating with team members, delegating assignments, assisting with technical issues, and inspecting work performed by team members. The position operates under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and innovation, with occasional independent judgment required for problem-solving and making recommendations for work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum 1-year industrial manufacturing experience preferred.
Weld experience, preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
Ability to identify issues and to determine problem solving steps that are needed.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as needed to complete reports, logs, and inventory.

Responsibilities

Works with production supervisor to plan work priorities, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete tasks.
Assesses production needs to plan work assignments.
Collaborates with team members to discuss upcoming work assignments.
Delegates assignments based on team members’ skills and experience.
Assists team members with technical issues or advanced problems within given assignments.
Inspects work performed by team members.
