Requirements

• A combination of education and experience in home care, nursing, and healthcare management.
• Knowledge of British Columbia's regulations related to Home and Community Care, including client safety and confidentiality.
• Strong leadership abilities with experience in supervising and managing healthcare staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and effectively lead a diverse group of individuals.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the Home and Community Care (HCC) team, including Nurse Assessors, Senior HCAs, and the Client Care Coordinator.
• Ensure the smooth daily operations of the HCC program, focusing on quality home care services.
• Support the Manager in implementing Client Care Plans and ensuring high client satisfaction and standards of care.
• Monitor adherence to policies, regulations, and safety protocols related to Home and Community Care.
• Facilitate communication between clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
• Foster a culturally safe and supportive environment for both clients and staff, respecting the Squamish worldview.
• Supervise, coach, and mentor team members to ensure excellence in service delivery.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions and records management.
