Requirements

Successful Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse within the state of employment
Current CPR Certification

A minimum of one-year clinical experience

Responsibilities

Directs and supervises nursing staff, ensuring adherence to licensure scope, policies, and procedures.
Reviews and audits nursing care plans, medical records, and staff performance, providing coaching and reporting findings.
Coordinates patient care with other departments and supports continuity of care across the facility.
Assists in training, orientation, staff meetings, and maintaining unit cleanliness, safety, and professional standards.
Identifies problems, develops solutions, and communicates issues or corrective actions to the Director of Nursing.
Oversees the delivery of nursing care in their assigned unit, ensuring adherence to state guidelines and company policies.
Supervises and guides nursing and ancillary staff, auditing performance and providing coaching where needed.
Reviews nursing care plans, monitors patient outcomes, and maintains high standards of patient teaching and self-care.
Coordinates care across departments, ensures cleanliness and order in the unit, and supports orientation and training for new staff.
Requires attendance at institutional meetings and travel as needed.
Work performed in a correctional facility setting.
