Requirements
- A solid understanding of the French language.
- You must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent education and experience.
- Five or more years of experience in the video game industry as a team leader, having shipped at least one title.
- Excellent C++ and/or C# programming skills, with strong knowledge of multithreading, optimization, and Unreal Engine 5.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as Perforce, Visual Studio, JIRA, and performance profiling tools like Unreal Insights.
- Demonstrated experience managing teams, including goal setting, coaching, and team member development.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with the Technical Director and other technical managers to set priorities, define the tool development plan, and communicate it clearly across production.
- Collaborating with programming, art, animation, audio, and design managers to assess their technology needs while maintaining a healthy production pipeline.
- Balancing hands-on code development reviews and technical designs while also unblocking complex problems via day-to-day team management.
- Setting clear goals for each team member, holding regular one-on-ones, and providing direct, constructive feedback to support their growth.
- Mobilizing your team around a shared vision, fostering alignment constructively, and representing their needs to management and other stakeholders.
