About The Position

As a Team Lead Production, you will play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality products while leading day-to-day manufacturing operations within a defined production area. You will leverage your manufacturing expertise to coordinate production activities, drive operational improvements, support frontline teams, and ensure reliable execution of production plans. This role offers the opportunity to lead through influence, collaborate across functions, and make a direct impact on Hershey’s manufacturing performance.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of manufacturing, production, operations, or related experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading work teams, coordinating production activities, or serving in a manufacturing lead role.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and continuous improvement experience using operational data and performance metrics.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with maintenance, quality, engineering, and planning teams.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree, technical degree, or equivalent manufacturing training preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily production operations to achieve safety, quality, service, and cost objectives.
  • Coordinate activities across shifts and teams to maintain efficient production flow and effective handoffs.
  • Monitor operational performance metrics and adjust plans, staffing, or work methods as needed to meet targets.
  • Partner with Maintenance and Reliability teams to coordinate equipment downtime, prioritize repairs, and minimize production disruptions.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for recurring equipment and operational issues.
  • Ensure compliance with Hershey’s quality, food safety, environmental, and safety standards.
  • Review production, downtime, waste, and throughput data to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Maintenance teams to support process changes, trials, and improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with operator training, standard work updates, and implementation of operational best practices.
