About The Position

Mayo Clinic is seeking a Team Lead - Pathologist Assistant for Surgical Pathology. This role provides functional, technical, and leadership assistance and support to all staff in surgical pathology. The position involves educating and training others within the department and serving as a first-line resource for team members. The Team Lead will assist pathologists in the preparation and performance of human surgical specimen dissection and postmortem examinations, and may assist with or perform gross dictation of complex surgical specimens. Additional responsibilities may include workflow management, research, and teaching duties as directed by supervising pathologists, manager, or administrator. This vacancy is not eligible for sponsorship, and Mayo Clinic does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Requirements

Graduation from a NACCLS-accredited Master’s level Pathologists’ Assistant program
Three years of ASCP certified Pathologists’ Assistant work experience and evidence of ongoing maintenance of certification
