About The Position
FS Cut & Color is seeking a Team Lead who is a licensed stylist with a passion for hair and a desire to grow beyond the chair while continuing to build their own clientele. This is a hands-on leadership role for an individual who enjoys serving guests, supporting other stylists, problem-solving, and contributing to a strong, professional salon culture. This position may offer future opportunities for expanded leadership, profit-sharing, or potential ownership.
Requirements
- Current Texas cosmetology license
- Strong experience behind the chair
- Strong haircutting, color, styling, and consultation skills
- Dependable, professional, and team-focused
- Comfortable coaching others and receiving coaching
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Initiative and willingness to take ownership
- Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
Nice To Haves
- Leadership or mentoring experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide haircuts, color, styling, and exceptional guest service
- Lead by example in professionalism, communication, and service quality
- Support and coach stylists with consultations, guest experience, productivity, retail, and salon standards
- Help onboard and develop new team members
- Assist with salon flow and day-to-day operational needs
- Help resolve guest concerns professionally
- Support salon goals including retention, rebooking, retail, reviews, and productivity
- Communicate clearly with management and ownership about team needs, challenges, and opportunities
- Take initiative, solve problems, and follow through on responsibilities
