About The Position

The Community Living Society (CLS) is seeking a Team Lead for Individualized Supports. In this role, you will support the Manager in all aspects of administration, team leadership, and home support. You will work closely with the team to provide meaningful and role-model Person-Centered Active Supports. Individualized Supports are provided on a one-on-one basis and can occur in a person’s home or in the community, focusing on skill development, community inclusion, or outreach. This service is highly individualized.

Requirements

Class 5 driver’s license (permanent staff must be willing to obtain a Class 4 license)
Access to a reliable vehicle
First Aid and CPR Certificate
Clear criminal record (paid by CLS)
Clean driver’s abstract
Experience high behavioural support
Comfortable using transit systems

Nice To Haves

Ability to maneuver a wheel chair
Prior paid or volunteer experience
Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Training
Mandt System®
Knowledge of Person Centered Active Supports
Swimming

Responsibilities

Provide support and engage individuals to live as full citizens
Supporting the Manager with administrative and financial tasks
Encouraging and motivating a team of Counsellors
Supporting individuals with various life goals
Home support duties (including, but not limited to personal care, bathing, bathroom support, meal preparation and light housekeeping)
Community outings (including, but not limited to volunteering, paid employment and leisure activities)
Maintaining records of daily activities and goal progression
Coaching, role-modeling and mentoring your team in appropriate support techniques
