About The Position

Oversees a team of analysts responsible for the coordination, training and implementation of Epic Radiant and other clinical applications (e.g. Powerscribe). Their primary responsibility is to ensure that applications are well supported and that implementations are properly executed to meet organizational standards. The Team Lead must posses a thorough understanding of medical terminology, technology and clinical workflows. As an assigned application and department liaison, this position will be responsible for coordinating training, troubleshooting, configuration and error resolution for new and existing applications. This position involves working closely with end-users and ITS management staff to manage the development and implementation of new features and functions. The Team Lead partners with their assigned departments and helps to identify user requirements, utilize available technologies, develop detailed interface and conversion specifications and recommend software solution options. For large scale projects, this role will take the lead in the development and implementation of new features or enhancements. Projects are likely to include; identifying user requirements, developing detailed interfaces, planning for system conversions and recommending software solution options. For other projects, this role will provide oversight and project management to a team of analysts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree Required
  • Epic Radiant certification required.
  • Five years of information systems experience as a senior clinical/business analyst or project manager required.
  • Demonstrated management ability.
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills.
  • Strong software and application knowledge with base knowledge of relevant technologies, operating systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capable of supervising all aspects of day-to-day operations and support.
  • Solid understanding of business environment and operations.
  • Able to identify complex problems, their probable causes, their impact on operations, report them to the appropriate parties, offer possible solutions, and decide on the optimal course of action while exhibiting judgment and realistic understanding of issues
  • Able to independently and/or collaboratively bring problems to complete resolution.
  • Close attention to detail, ability to carefully monitor processes and organize and maintain a system of records.
  • Able to clearly present information through the spoken or written word; read and interpret complex information; talk with customers or clients; listen well.

Responsibilities

  • Provides supervision of a team of analysts that provide day to day support of a group of assigned applications: Ensuring that support procedures are clearly documented and kept up to date
  • Developing support practices that support high availability of systems while maximizing the capabilities of the system
  • Providing on-call support if needed.
  • Ability to identify, triage and resolve issues
  • Performing routine system maintenance activities
  • Maintaining good working relationship with vendors and vendor support personnel
  • Collaborating with assigned departments to integrate ITS support work with efforts provided by local departments
  • Facilitates resolution of application issues, user concerns or production support issues in a proactive manner.
  • Manage the relationship between technical teams and departmental owners, outside vendors or service providers to assist in communicating production issues.
  • Update ITS management as needed.
  • Lead the troubleshooting efforts to identify production problems, develop corrective action approach, testing and implementation of that approach with the appropriate user involvement.
  • Coordinate the development of systems or manual workarounds in the various business areas.
  • Present solutions to ITS management and document issue resolution.
  • Provide on going communication until resolution is reached
  • Plans, manages and over-sees projects as the Team Lead, utilizing recognized project management methodology including activities such as: Development of a project summary including identification of scope and objectives
