About The Position

Horizons Residential Care Center (HRCC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a supportive, enriching community for children and adults with diverse needs. We’re seeking a Team Lead to provide day-to-day leadership, coaching, and hands-on support to our Disability Support Professional (DSP) teams across our residential homes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys leading by example, supporting others, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered care.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to lift, push, pull, and move up to 40 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with resident mobility
Willingness to work rotating weekends

Nice To Haves

Supervisory or leadership experience
Experience in healthcare, residential care, education, or ICF settings
Background in recreational therapy or related fields
Basic Microsoft Office skills

Responsibilities

Lead and support DSP teams to ensure quality care, meaningful activities, and resident safety
Ensure staffing coverage, schedules, and breaks are followed
Step in to provide direct care when needed
Coach, train, and support new and existing staff
Collaborate with leadership to address daily operational needs
Ensure accurate documentation (Therap, EMAR, goal logs, etc.)
Uphold Horizons’ policies, procedures, and values
Support transportation needs, including driving agency vehicles if required
