About The Position

The Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services (MHSADS) is seeking a talented and motivated individual to serve as a Team Coordinator in the Case Management program. This role involves working with a trusted and reputable team that connects individuals and their families with person-centered, recovery-oriented services and supports. The department welcomes new teammates who approach their professional careers with enthusiasm and dedication to the diverse and fast-growing county. This full-time position is a member of the Case Management Program and will provide supervision to a cadre of case managers who primarily support individuals with mental health conditions and/or who are dually diagnosed with substance use disorders. In addition to supervision, the Team Coordinator also provides direct service, represents MHSADS on County initiatives, and actively collaborates with external providers. Targeted Case Management is a community-based service occurring within the individual’s natural settings including their home.

Requirements

Master’s degree in a field eligible for professional licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or other licensure where permitted.
Two (2) years professional experience working with individuals who have a mental health and/or substance use diagnosis.
Knowledge, experience, and skills in leading and supervising staff in a community-based service.
Knowledge, experience, and skills in personnel and performance management of staff.
Knowledge, experience, and skills in supporting individuals with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders.
Knowledge, experience, and skills in provision of case management services.
Knowledgeable of standards for Virginia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services Licensure, Human Rights regulations, and pertinent Medicaid Provider Manuals.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in electronic health records and operating software programs.
Must have a good driving record and a valid driver's license in Virginia or regional state of residence.
Successful completion of DBHDS case management modules.
Successful completion of Department orientation and training requirements.
Must have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Previous supervisory experience.
Clinical licensure (i.e. LPC, LCSW, LMCP, LSAPT).
Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
