About The Position

Janitronics Facility Services is hiring a part-time Team Cleaning Specialist to perform cleaning tasks at an assigned work site and help maintain a clean and healthy environment for employees and customers. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The role reports to Kevin Whitney and does not require travel. The specialist maintains assigned areas by cleaning floors, replenishing supplies, and collecting and disposing of trash. The role also requires following company policies, safety and security procedures, and performance standards; communicating with supervisors about supply, repair, safety, and maintenance needs; and providing respectful, customer-focused service. Janitronics provides safety and chemical-use training consistent with OSHA and CDC guidelines.

Requirements

Previous experience in a janitorial or custodial role is preferred.
Basic knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and safe handling procedures.
Ability to follow safety guidelines and use protective equipment.
Ability to traverse the work site and transport equipment needed for the job.
Ability to reach areas below waist level and above the head.
Ability to detect, observe, and inspect work areas for concerns and opportunities.
Ability to transport up to 50 pounds through the work site as needed.
Ability to tolerate exposure to cleaning chemicals, dust, and other potential irritants.
Must meet minimum age requirements.
Attention to detail, dependability, integrity, flexibility, communication skills, customer-service orientation, and ability to work cooperatively with a team.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Knowledge of English language structure and content, including word meanings and spelling, composition, and grammar.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
Previous janitorial or custodial experience.

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas.
Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors as needed.
Resupply and restock supplies as needed.
Collect and dispose of trash from receptacles in assigned areas.
Follow company policies, established procedures, and safety and security programs.
Meet company productivity standards with minimal supervision.
Treat coworkers fairly and respectfully and communicate with supervisors and other employees.
Provide outstanding customer service.
Report needed supplies, repairs, safety concerns, and maintenance work to a supervisor.
Maintain the quality of assigned duties and responsibilities.
Perform other duties as assigned.
