About The Position

The Charlotte Hornets are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Team Attendant to support the equipment staff with game-day preparation, in-game operations, and post-game responsibilities. This part-time, game-night role helps ensure that home and visiting team locker rooms, courtside equipment, and player support needs are handled efficiently and professionally.

Requirements

  • Dependable, service-oriented, and able to follow direction in a fast-paced game-night environment.
  • Ability to remain professional, composed, and responsive while working under pressure and around players, coaches, staff, guests, and visiting teams.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to representing the Charlotte Hornets brand in a professional manner.
  • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
  • Must be available at least four hours prior to tip-off and remain through completion of assigned post-game responsibilities.
  • Must be available to work all Charlotte Hornets home games, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of the equipment and basketball operations support team.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare locker rooms for both the Charlotte Hornets and visiting teams prior to games.
  • Coordinate with visiting team personnel to identify and address game-day equipment and locker room needs.
  • Stock, organize, and manage Gatorade carts, NBA game balls, and other game-day supplies and equipment.
  • Rebound for players during pregame shooting and warm-up activities as assigned.
  • Provide in-game support to players and staff as directed by the Head Equipment Manager or Assistant Equipment Managers, including mopping the court, providing water, collecting player warm-ups, and completing other courtside tasks.
  • Break down and organize court and bench-area equipment following games, including hydroculators, Gatorade carts, game balls, slip mats, and items located at the scorer’s table.
  • Assist visiting teams with unloading and loading equipment trucks and team buses during arrival and departure at Spectrum Center.
  • Support post-game clean-up, including laundry, restocking refrigerators and supplies, and cleaning and resetting locker rooms.
  • Handle team, player, and organizational information with appropriate confidentiality and discretion.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
