About The Position

We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Team Administrator & Contract Coordinator to provide exceptional administrative and organisational support to the Farming Excellence & Extension team. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth operations across programmes and projects. You will provide proactive diary and inbox management, coordinate reporting, travel management, and deliver disciplined contract administration through accurate document control and monitoring. You’ll work closely with Beef + Lamb New Zealand’s (B+LNZ) Executive Assistant to the GM Farming Excellence & Extension, as well as the wider Farming Excellence and Extension team, linking key activities across research, product development, extension design, and delivery. This role suits someone who thrives on structure, accuracy and anticipating what’s needed next in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • A Business Administration qualification at diploma level or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in an administration or coordination role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex diaries and inboxes, including prioritising requests and handling sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proven experience providing contract or records administration support, including structured document control and proactive monitoring (note: this role does not involve drafting, negotiation, or legal interpretation).
  • Highly organised, systems-focused and detail oriented with the ability to manage competing priorities calmly and effectively.
  • High-level competence with Microsoft 365, particularly Outlook, Teams, Word, Planner and Excel.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to adjust style for different audiences.
  • A proactive, results-focused approach, able to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
  • Commitment to B+LNZ’s values, integrity, and a willingness to develop understanding of te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori.
