About The Position

KIPP Massachusetts Teaching Fellows are co-teachers who develop their teaching skills through professional development, coaching, and hands-on practice. Fellows work alongside experienced Lead Teachers in kindergarten through fourth-grade classrooms, with the goal of becoming a KIPP MA Lead Teacher after a year of intensive development. They are integral classroom members from the start of the school year and build trusting relationships with students and families. Fellows co-teach small-group and whole-group lessons and gradually assume additional solo teaching responsibilities, sharing accountability with Lead Teachers for student growth and classroom culture. Fellows receive personalized instructional coaching, Fellow-specific professional development, and school-based development focused on academics, character, and classroom culture. They may also be eligible for a partial tuition scholarship to Boston University’s Graduate School of Education if pursuing a master’s degree and Massachusetts teacher licensure. The position follows the school-year calendar.
