About The Position

The Department of Plant Sciences is seeking a Teaching Assistant for PLSC 220: Fundamentals of Horticulture. This role involves approximately 70 hours of work during the Fall 2026 academic term, from September 1 to December 31. The general duties include preparing, delivering, and/or attending lectures, demonstrating, marking assignments, student consulting, invigilating exams, supervising field trips, and conferring with the supervisor as required. The work location is 2E45 Agriculture Building, and the position reports to Ellen Misfeldt.

Requirements

  • Strong background in basic botany and botanical terminology
  • Background in Horticulture
  • Minimum of a B.Sc. degree or equivalent
  • Must be registered in a graduate program
