About The Position

The Department of Plant Sciences is seeking a Teaching Assistant for AGRC 111: Introduction to Plant and Soil Sciences for the 2026 Fall Term. This role involves preparing, delivering, and/or attending lectures, demonstrating material, marking assignments, student consulting, invigilating exams, and supervising field trips. The position is located in the agriculture building (2E45) and reports to Ellen Misfeldt. The total required hours are 31 during the academic term, with employment from October 18 to December 31, 2026.

Requirements

  • Strong background in basic botany and botanical terminology
  • Background in agricultural field crops
  • Minimum of a B.Sc. degree or equivalent
  • Must be registered in a graduate program
