About The Position
This posting is for a Teaching Assistant position for the Determinants of Health course (HSS1101, Section WB) during the 2026 Spring/Summer Semester. The role involves assisting the professor with assignments, term papers, mid-term and final exams. The teaching assistant may also be required to hold online office hours to address student inquiries and concerns outside of class times. This is a hybrid course, requiring access to a computer, internet, microphone, and webcam, with occasional on-campus presence required. The contract includes hours for supervision and correction of the final exam.
Requirements
- Bachelor, MSc or PhD in Health Sciences or equivalent.
- Experience with online learning programs and software (as a teaching assistant)
- Experience with web software (uploading content, programming content)
- Access to a computer, Internet, microphone and webcam.
- Ability to come to campus occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Help with assignments, term paper, mid-term and final exam.
- Hold online office hours to assist professor with addressing student inquiries and concerns outside of class times.
- Supervision and correction of the final exam.
