The Teaching Assistant will support the Department of Neuroscience at Georgetown University Medical Center for Basic Neuroscience I, a two-hour course meeting twice weekly on Mondays and Wednesdays. The course enrolls more than 30 graduate students in MS and PhD programs and includes recorded lectures, frequent quizzes, four exams during the semester, in-class assignments and events, periodic short lectures, and review sessions. The Teaching Assistant may assist with these course activities according to their knowledge and availability. Prior experience teaching is not required; having taken Basic Neuroscience I in a previous year would be particularly useful. The Teaching Assistant reports to the Course Director. The position supports the faculty’s teaching workload and enables more individual attention for students from both the Teaching Assistant and Professors.
