About The Position
The Korean Studies Center (KSC) at the School of Mission & Theology is seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) at the Doctoral, Ph.D. level. Faculty are responsible for the academic supervision of TAs, including selection, task assignment, and work monitoring. The KSC Office provides administrative support to TAs, including hiring paperwork, orientations, time card approval, and coordination with HR and Payroll for timely stipend issuance.
Requirements
- Successful completion of the course or related Fuller courses in a previous quarter.
- Doctoral or PhD Level study in Theology, Intercultural Studies, or Psychology.
- Experience with Canvas LMS.
- Excellent time and task management skills.
- US residency required.
Responsibilities
- Support course preparation, including Canvas shell setup.
- Assist with grading student assignments (final grading by Faculty).
- Provide written and verbal feedback on student assignments and activities.
- Attend initial class lectures as requested by Faculty (attendance for personal benefit or full sessions is not permitted due to budget constraints).
- Maintain course records as requested by the Faculty member.
- Develop or maintain a communication structure for interaction outside the classroom, including Canvas.
