The Lang Medical Scholars Program at Katz School of Medicine at Temple University is a six-year educational initiative that transforms a student’s early interest in science into a vision for a career in healthcare. Through hands-on learning and collaboration with healthcare professionals, students from 7th through 12th grade explore each system of the human body, learning how healthy systems function, how disease develops, and how prevention and treatment shape individual, public and global health. Along the way, they gain early exposure to health careers and discover the many ways they can contribute to healthier selves and healthier communities. The Teaching Assistant for the Lang Medical Scholars Program at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University supports the successful delivery of program sessions by assisting with instruction, student engagement, and classroom operations. This role helps ensure a structured, organized, and positive learning experience for middle school students participating in a hands-on health science program. This position is well-suited for college students, graduate students, and current or retired educators interested in education, health science or youth development who enjoy working directly with middle school students.
